Commuters familiar with the drive through Moore will be happy to know that after more than two years, the big construction site west of Interstate 35 soon will become something recognizable.

The Warren Theatre, a new 20-screen, $30 million movie theater billed as the "world's largest luxury 20-plex" is expected to open on the site this spring. The project, which originally was projected to finish this past January, was thrown off by excessive rain and other logistical problems.

Bill Warren, founder of the Wichita, Kan.-based Warren Theatres chain, said when it comes to construction, delays come with the business of building.

Diedre Ebrey, director of development for the City of Moore, said the Warren Theatre's construction delays actually have benefitted the city, since it's given it more time to make changes in the area to accommodate the anticipated volume of customers. "Mike Robertson
