'Small' wonder

The “Small Works” show is a once-a-year opportunity for seasoned and new collectors to acquire original art at affordable prices.

Art comes in all shapes and sizes, but the Oklahoma Art Guild likes to keep things small-scale for its annual “Small Works” exhibit, currently on display at In Your Eye Studio & Gallery, 3005 Paseo.

The guild’s member show forces artists to keep their work within dimensions of 12-by-12 inches.

Guild spokeswoman Natalie Friedman said the art is not limited to any specific genre, as long as it stays within the size confines.

“There’s a huge diversity in terms of medium and also in terms of style,” Friedman said.

Whether art fanatics favor oil paintings or sculptures, they can find them at this popular Paseo exhibit. The pieces will be for sale, with many more affordable than normal, due to the smaller size.

“Small Works” will be on display through June 25. The gallery is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
