Thirst for the Cure returns

Annual benefit set for Sept. 14.

Who knows who might need money for urgent medical care this year? Through the Thirst for the Cure 2011, scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14, money being raised might come to the rescue of needy people in the local hospitality business who otherwise couldn’t afford care.


The party, one of the city’s best wine-and-food events, will be at the Jim Thorpe Museum, 4040 N. Lincoln Blvd.

Thirst Wine Merchants has brought together local top-notch restaurants to serve samples, including:

• Boulevard Steakhouse
• Café 501
• Cattlemen’s
• The Coach House
• La Baguette Bistro
• The Metro Wine Bar & Bistro
• Oak Tree Country Club
• The Petroleum Clubs of OKC
• Sara Sara Cupcakes
• Stella
• Sushi Neko

More than 30 winery representatives worldwide will be on-hand. Tickets are $75 and 100-percent tax-deductible. Call 942-9463.
