Washington Irving, creator of the Headless Horseman and Rip Van Winkle, once toured the land now known as Oklahoma.

He even wrote a book about it, 1835’s “A Tour on the Prairies.” That tome kicks off a new season of the “Let’s Talk about It, Oklahoma” book discussion series, 7 p.m. Tuesday in room 151 of Walker Center, N.W. 26th Street and Florida Avenue, on the Oklahoma City University campus. Admission is free. Call 208-5472.
