Born in Tijuana but now a resident of Oklahoma, Narciso Argüelles creates art that focuses on Chicano, Mexicano, Latino and indigenous issues.

His latest exhibition, “Reclaimed and Remixed: Chicano Art,” opens with a public reception at 5 p.m. Friday at the University of Oklahoma’s Fred Jones Art Center, 540 Parrington Oval in Norman. The works remain on display through Feb. 17. Admission is free. Call 325-2691 or visit art.ou.edu.
