Shawn’s Sushi
5612 Northwest Expressway, Warr Acres 792-2211
Owner
Shawn Zhang came to Oklahoma from the northwest part of China, but he
specializes in irresistible Japanese sushi. Some of his best-sellers are
the aptly named “Spicy Cowboy” and another called “Lifesaver,” which is
tuna and salmon with lemon, cucumber and avocado. Sweeten the
celebration with its scrumptious deep-fried bananas or New York-style
cheesecake.
Ready for some real love? Pizza is a love-you-lots dazzler for a hot date night. Just call ahead to Sandro’s and request a lustful heart-shaped pizza, which will be out in a heartbeat. Or share a plate of spaghetti, a la “Lady and the Tramp.”
Red Cup is catering to the singles for its Un-Valentine’s dinner. At 7 p.m., there will be a four-course $28 vegetarian meal. In the past, there was an eggplant Parmesan, curried veggies, a “fancy” salad and a rose cake for a finish. Singles dine while making new friends. This tasty temptation is by reservation only.
Share the love on Valentine’s Day at The Tasting Room at Will Rogers Theatre. The unique business is offering two seatings with a Spanish-influenced menu that will stir the soul. Chef Mackenzie Bentley will pull out all the stops on this four-course meal with top-notch ingredients. Do note that reservations for this dinner are due by Friday.
To make this day designed for lovers extra special, the chef will be dazzling with its surprising frutti de mare, which means “fruit of the sea.” It’s a delicate seafood linguini, perfect for a rendezvous with your sweetie. The dish will include mussels, shrimp, clams and scallops, served with red or white sauce. They also will have a veal and shrimp special with Marsala. And its tiramisu? Worth every bite.
Fall head over heels when you feel the warmth in this place. Los Vaqueros offers a blend of great Mexican dishes from chiles rellenos and shrimp cocktail to fajitas, and then spoils its customers with sweet sopaipillas. The place offers oldf-ashioned, laid-back authentic food made with love.
Craving Cajun? This place will warm up those taste buds! You will get all the quick bliss and flavor of the food of Louisiana at this joint. Don’t leave without trying the deep-fried alligator. Do take advantage of the V-Day special, which will be a petite fillet with grilled shrimp and a salad.
