Breeding Ground

Gazette staff February 22nd, 2012

This state is a veritable breeding ground for famous people, from Will Rogers to Garth Brooks (although we don’t claim Chris Gaines). And for general badassery, there’s Chuck Norris, who hails from south-central Oklahoma.

The latest star in the making looks to be Noah Crawford, a 17-year-old Oklahoma City resident who just landed a leading role on a new Nickelodeon series, “How to Rock.”

Crawford will play a techie keyboardist, a role that will allow him to show his physical-comedy chops.

“[Noah] started [acting] when he was 6 and trained a couple times weekly until they moved out [to Los Angeles],” said Michelle DeLong, owner of a metro acting academy and Crawford’s acting teacher. “He was always the kid who knew his lines, and you could tell he’d always rehearsed.”

She mentioned he is the only boy of five kids in his family. We guess it won’t take much for him to adjust to the adoration of women. Looks like young Crawford will do just in fine in Hollywood.
