Folk this

Gazette staff March 21st, 2012

Canadian folk trio Vishtèn specializes in a sound it pegs as “essentially Celtic, but with a difference.”

That means it plays new-traditional Acadian music via fiddle, guitar, accordion, penny whistle, banjo, mandolin, piano and more. Plus, the members sing in French. Oui, oui! Hear it all at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oklahoma City Community College’s Bruce Owen Theater, 7777 S. May. Tickets are $10-$22. Call 682-7576 or visit
