Pamper your mom!

Jenn Scott May 8th, 2012

When it comes to gifts, it’s always nice to find a balance between something useful, personal and out of the box.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, so if you’ve not already locked down a treat for the special ladies in your life, take heed.

While it’s not necessarily a unique idea, a spa day is always exciting, relaxing and a great way to spend a bit of time with your loved one.

Who doesn’t want to be treated like royalty for a day?

At Three Graces Premier European Day Spa (7108 N. Western; 840- 3223), situated near Classen Curve, you can go basic or full-on luxury.

If you’ve got about four hours, try the Harmony for Two ($465) package. It includes a salt glow and leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth. The salt glow is followed by a vichy shower, which washes off any errant salt. You lie down for it, and the shower does all the work.

Keep in mind this is usually a nude-friendly type of treatment. If the woman in your life isn’t comfortable with baring all her goods, you might opt for a different package.

The salt glow and vichy shower are wrapped up with a full-body massage and facial. Lunch is included, as well (and for that, Mom can be clothed).

Renaissance Salon & Spa (10440 N. Broadway Extension; 751-8888) is offering $200 worth of beauty treatments for $150. It’s easy to get wrapped up in everyday stresses and anxieties. Unwind by, well, getting wrapped up!

Renaissance will indulge you with a rosemary-mint hydrating body mask ($67), great for cooling sunburns or soothing dry, irritated skin, or try a steamy herbal wrap ($45) for detoxing and relaxation. Searching for a gift for the almost-a-mom? Give her the pregnancy massage ($78), a full-body massage with a specially contoured support pad.

When you spend $100 at Cottonwood Salon & Spa (35 E. 33rd, Edmond; 340-1700), you’ll get a $10 gift card as a thanks. Why not put it toward a Cottonwood Day Package ($325)? That includes a facial, Tahitian body shine, one-hour aromatherapy massage and mani/pedi.

This deal includes lunch, as well as a special gift. If you men out there are buying for your wife, girlfriend or mother, share the day with your special person and take part in the Men’s Executive Package ($250), which includes a 90-minute massage, facial and mani/pedi.

Pamper your mother this year. Let’s shop, OKC!
