The Oklahoma City Council today unanimously approved an allocation of a little more than $1 million of Downtown/MAPS Economic Development Project Plan TIF No. 2 Funds for "residential development costs" for the Midtown Renaissance mixed-use development project.

The city council today also approved an allocation of $1.75 million of Downtown/MAPS Economic Development Project Plan TIF No. 2 Funds for "residential development costs" for the Overholser Green Residential development project at NW 13 St. and Walker Ave.

Additionally, council members deferred a joint resolution relating to the Administration Building Project for Independent School District No. 89 of Oklahoma County to the city council's Feb. 19 meeting.

The school district is seeking approval and execution of a lease-purchase contract between the City of Oklahoma City and I-89 for the purchase of 70,000 square feet of the Journal Record Building, 621 N Robinson Ave., for $8.5 million. - Gazette staff
