Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which recently announced the settlement of a lawsuit against Kids R Us. The EEOC pursued litigation after the company, which owns and operates several daycare facilities in Oklahoma, demoted an employee who a Kids R Us owner allegedly said “decided to get pregnant.” Shawna Capps went from full-time assistant facility director to part-time cook.
Under the settlement, Kids R Us will pay $75,000 and furnish other relief. Perhaps that money can go toward helping Capps find good child care.
