Shameful conduct

Emily Hunt August 8th, 2012

In regard to the “State of health” article by Mark Beutler (Aug. 1, Oklahoma Gazette), I wanted to say that I agree with the senti ment of the article. However, I’m disappointed the Gazette chose to include “headless fatty” stock footage. Most of those pictures are taken without permission. The idea that a person can’t walk down the street and avoid having their picture taken and plastered over the Internet due to their weight is shameful, to say the least. After all: How dare we not treat other people as human beings due to their BMI!

Being a fatty myself, I get where you're coming from.  But suppose I wanted a random headless picture of a hipster douchebag, where would I go to get it?  The fact is, if you're in public, you have no expectation of privacy.  Hence why we call it "public."
