Country music legend Larry Gatlin will highlight Heart to Heart International beginning at 7 p.m. Monday at The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 N.E. 63rd St.

The semiformal gala will focus on the global humanitarian work of Heart to Heart International, commemorating the inspiring efforts of bringing health and hope to people in need.

Heart to Heart International is a leading global humanitarian organization that works to improve the health and well-being of disaster victims worldwide. The organization specializes in delivering essential medicinal supplies, as well as providing the necessary training to raise the level of medical care in harsh regions of the world. Led by a network of passionate volunteers, Heart to Heart International responds to human needs globally, committed to improving the lives of other people.

Pete Brumbaugh, vice president of marketing communications, said the benefit is raising awareness to global tragedies, bringing relief to underserved regions of the world.

"Not only is it going to be a fun event with Larry Gatlin performing, but a purpose to support our global causes of creating a healthier world," Brumbaugh said.

Gatlin is set to bestow his rich tenor voice at the event. Famous for teaming up with his brothers in the late Seventies as Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, the act boasted country hits such as "Broken Lady" and "All the Gold in California."

Tickets are $75, which includes dinner and the benefit concert. For reservations, call 787-5200 by Friday, or visit www.hearttoheart.org. "Joanna Rus
