OKG7 eats in Edmond

Every week, we give you seven OKC-area restaurants to explore.

Whether you live, work or play in Edmond (and even if you don’t), these spots deserve a try.

Flatire Burgers
318 E. Ayers, Edmond
flatireburgers.com
359-2006

Start with the fried pickles or ranchero salsa and chips. As for the burgers, get creative with the Havana Burger, which comes with grilled ham, cheese, salami, pickles and chipotle mayo. Skipping meat? Try the portobello shroom burger. It has balsamic marinated portobello, sautéed spinach, tomato, onion and herbed goat cheese. Finish up with s’mores.

Humble Pie Pizzeria
1319 S. Broadway, Edmond
humblepieok.com
715-1818

This pizza palace specializes in authentic New York- and Chicago-style pizzas. Get started with bottomless seasoned pretzels before digging into the Bermuda Triangle, a special pie including a blend of cheeses, the signature red sauce, jalapeños and pineapple. If you’re eating light, try the spinach salad, topped with tomatoes, onions, cheese and croutons.

Signature Grill
1317 E. Danforth, Edmond
signaturegrilledmond.com
330-4548

Don’t forget to make reservations, because this Edmond nook is always full for dinner. With an array of appetizers — such as puff pastry baked with duck confit and mushrooms, or sauteed jumbo shrimp with saffron, curry and white wine butter sauce — its popularity isn’t surprising. For dinner have the Chilean sea bass or pan-seared scallops with grilled oyster mushrooms.

Boulevard Steakhouse
505 S. Boulevard, Edmond
boulevardsteakhouse.com
715-2333

Don’t miss this stylish favorite. Cajun tournedos or escargot will get you started. Steaks are priced based on cut and size. The grilled salmon is topped with jumbo shrimp, lump crab meat and a ginger-scallion aioli. Diners who can’t decide on a single protein can go with the steak and lobster. Save room for Boulevard brandy ice. And did we mention the martini lounge?

The Cow Calf-Hay
3409 Wynn, Edmond
thecowcalfhay.net
509-2333

Besides boasting an odd name, this off-the-beaten-path hamburger joint serves up a mighty mean burger. Have yours with fried onions and cheese, or opt for the turkey or veggie variety. Make it extra special by adding on an egg, grilled pineapple, grilled jalapeños or bacon. For dessert, grab a piece of cow pie-cake, a yellow cake with strawberry juices.

3 Tequilas
315 S. Broadway, Edmond
216-0500

Enjoy white cheese dip to start, followed by the super fajita nachos, crispy corn tortilla chips covered with grilled beef or chicken, beans, cheese, onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. Get a side of its choriqueso, white cheese dip with chorizo. Its mixed caldo is a soup that includes shrimp and fish with a side of rice. In a hurry? Get your fajitas to go.

Vin Dolce
16 S. Broadway, Edmond
vindolcewinebar.com
285-5333

Fancy a bacon-wrapped, Gorgonzola-stuffed date drizzled in a balsamic reduction? Of course, you do! What about blackened tilapia atop a rice pilaf with grilled squash? You can get that, too. There’s a wine suggestion for each menu item, as well as a cocktail and beer list that includes a pineapple Mojito made with pineapple-infused rum.
