The Harlem Globetrotters' "Magical Memories" tour
7 p.m. Thursday
Ford Center, 100 W. Reno Ave.
602-8700, www.okcfordcenter.com
$17 and up

The Harlem Globetrotters storm into the metro on Thursday to take over the OKC Thunder's home court. Forecasts predict a rainstorm of impossible shots and lightning-fast handling.

Kids can watch the Globetrotters show off their moves during the exhibition team's "Magical Memories" tour at 7 p.m. Thursday. Now in its 84th year, the team has played more than 20,000 games in more than 120 countries, entertaining some 130 million fans.

Big and eager crowds at the Globetrotters' January show in Oklahoma City prompted organizers to quickly book another, said Michael Kenney, the team's senior vice president.

"We had so many enthusiastic fans demanding tickets and another opportunity to see this great show, we just had to come back as soon as possible," he said in a statement.

On Thursday, kids will be plucked from the audience to learn a few tricks from the Globetrotters while watching a humorous show that teaches teamwork and good sportsmanship. The show lasts about 90 minutes and is followed by an autograph session with the players.

The Globetrotters were founded in 1926 and have used basketball to bridge racial and societal barriers throughout the world. The players are known for their high-flying antics, acrobatic dunks and ball-handling skills, and the team has entertained many crowds, from presidents to the Pope.

Tickets start at $17. For more information, visit www.okcfordcenter.com."Luke Atkinson
