Hurts so good

This Thai house isn’t afraid to turn up the heat with its curry and chile dishes.

Restaurant Reviews

Greg Elwell
When my friends came to town — yes, I have them; don’t act so shocked — they had a few places they wanted to stop. La Baguette for brunch. The Wedge for dinner. And lunch, they insisted, must be at … Pei Wei.

Remember your mother or grandmother foraging for pokeweed to make poke salad? You might be surprised how many Oklahomans have foraged over the years. Some Native American tribes call it “wildcrafting”; it’s the practice of finding edible plants that grow wild in a given geographic area.

Crowd-pleasing menu and service.
What needs work:
I'd like en entrée of pretzels. But that's more my issue.
Tips:
Go at night and get a drink. Hippy Juice tastes like smiles, but will knock you down.

Due to construction in the downtown Oklahoma City area, some of your favorite places might feel a little left in the dust. You might have to navigate the rugged terrain of traffic cones and cracked pavement, but it’s well worth the effort to keep these downtown dandies up and running.
