OCU granted Pavarotti honorary degree in 1983

Oklahoma City University reminded us today they were the first school to grant famed tenor Luciano Pavarotti an honorary Doctor of Music degree in 1983.

The Italian singer died today.

Many, many dollars flowed into OETA's Festival during his televised performances so obviously he was well loved far and wide in the state.
