Tulips & Truffles

By Jenny Coon Peterson June 16th, 2010
I was on the ShopGirl prowl last week when I came across a new store called Tulips & Truffles.

It's a cool concept that combines a full florist, chocolates and other boutique-y finds. Tulips & Truffles has been open for just four months and is owned by a trio of sisters, Courtney, Caroline and Ashleigh Rentzel.

The sisters have used their floral know-how (the family has been in the florist industry for 40 years) and added some really great touches in this bright shop. Look for diffusers and candles by Archipelago, body products by Earthworks and unique, modern vases. I really loved the minimalist appeal of the Tea Forte line, with included teas, cups and cool trays.

There's a case full of chocolates, too (hence the "truffles" part of the name). Look for Sweet Shop USA and Cocopotamus. The Cocopotamus brand is genius (I mean, who forgets that name, right?), but on top of that, the gourmet chocolates are made without wheat or high-fructose corn syrup.

The girls at Tulips & Truffles are planning to add jewelry and some more decor to their store, so visit them for great updates.
