This is a different sort of block party: the Lego kind.
OK CityScape's
Block Party takes everyone's favorite building blocks and turns them into fashion. The Friday fundraiser will benefit
Oklahoma City Educare, a center dedicated to early childhood education.
The runway show will strut its stuff 8 p.m. in a Film Row location, 700 1/2 W. Sheridan, and feature models donning designs that all get the Lego treatment. How cool, right?
Artists who created pieces for the fashion show include Hugh Meade, Nicole Moan, Spencer Stone Co., Warpaint Clothing Co. and two OSU departments (that'd be Design, Housing and Merchandising, and the College of Human Environmental Sciences).
Tickets range from $75 to $125 for VIP access and upfront runway seating. Tickets aren't available at the door, so buy them online and learn more at the
Block Party website.
OK CityScape re-creates Oklahoma City all in Legos " totally worth checking out. It opens for the season this Saturday in a new location, 1100 N. Broadway.
