The “Spur of the moment” article in the Nov. 2 Gazette contains an important misleading statement, though concerns expressed in the article for preservation of a rail spur now scheduled for transfer from the state Department of Transportation to Union Pacific are well-justified.

Someday, a majority of citizens of Oklahoma City will realize that they are being required unnecessarily to pay a huge price for a new rail hub whose quality will probably never equal that of the Union Station rail facility that ODOT has destroyed.
