Natalie Friedman, an artist with In Your Eye Gallery, is presenting the art show, “Pass It On: A Celebration of Mentorship.” Friedman has designed this exhibition to honor her mentor, Suzanne King Randall, and to introduce her mentee, Susan York, in her debut gallery exhibition.

While embracing the continuity from mentor to mentee, this show displays three strong artistic statements. All three of these artists create bold and colorful artwork, but each has her own signature style. As mixed media artists, they enthusiastically rise to the challenge of exploration, always open to new ideas, media, and inspiration.

As mentors, Friedman and Randall strive to share their knowledge of making artwithout imposing their individual styles. They uphold the philosophy of theancient Japanese proverb, “To teach is to learn.” Mentoring is, to them, a fulfilling and vital part of being artists.
