"Lion in the Streets"
8 p.m., Saturday October 06
Lion in the Streets, the 1990 play by renowned Canadian playwright Judith Thompson, tells
the story of the ghost of Isobel, a young Portuguese girl, searching
for the man who killed her seventeen years before. She travels through
present day Toronto neighborhood, witnessing some of life's darkest,
cruelest and most vulnerable moments. Ms. Thompson pulls no punches
in this vital examination of human interaction, suffering, and ultimately,
redemption. Lion in the Streets is
rated R due to violence and sexual content.
