“The idea for Orange Balloon is inspired by a desire to connect with our city,” Orange Balloon co-organizer Amber Gulilat said. “We are using orange balloons to mark diverse locations in the downtown Oklahoma City area. A balloon is a familiar symbol used on map applications to represent a starting point and a destination. Our goal is to draw attention to these connecting points and to cause viewers to question the significance of these locations as well as the paths we share.
