The University of Oklahoma School of Music presents the OU Jazz Concert “Driving Hard” scheduled at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the Sharp Concert Hall, Catlett Music Center, Norman. This concert is part of the Sutton Concert Series.
Come stomp, clap and enjoy the jazz of rock, swing and gospel music by the heavy hitters like David Sanborn, Lee Morgan and Thad Jones. The OU Jazz Ensembles give a full-throttle evening of entertainment.
“The concert promises to be a lot of fun,” states Jay Wilkinson, Jazz Director. “We have a new vocalist joining us, Anna Tracy, singing the huge hit, “Deedles.” The big band is closing with a hand clapping revival number, “The Gospel Truth.” Your spirit is sure to be moved.”
Tickets are $9 adult, $5 student and may be purchased by phone or in person at the OU Fine Arts Box Office (405) 325-4101, 500 W. Boyd Street, in the Catlett Music Center.
