The Poteet Theatre announces its 2nd production of the 2013 season, August Wilson’s Pulizter Prize winning Fences with direction by Tinasha LaReye’. The show will be in the Poteet Theatre at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 222 N.W. 15th OKC, OK from Friday, April 5 - Sunday,
April 28.  Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 8:00 pm and the Sunday matinee begins at 3:00 pm.  Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by visiting our website at www.poteettheatre.com or by calling our box office at 609.1023.  
 
Winner! 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 
This sensational drama starred James Earl Jones as Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues who now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded as a black man from the major leagues during his prime, Troy's bitterness takes its toll on his relationships with his wife and his son, who now wants his own chance to play ball. Revived in 2010 starring Denzel Washington in the lead role.
