“Leonardo da Vinci—before the Code” will be the lecture by Dr. Elliot Engel at OKC Town Hall’s popular lecture series April 18 at 10:30 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 222 NW 15th Street.  Dr. Engel always addresses his subject with a fresh, new approach and he is one of Town Hall’s favorite speakers.  A native of Indianapolis, Dr. Engel now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He has taught at the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University and Duke University.  After earning his M.A. and Ph.D. as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at UCLA, he won that university’s Outstanding Teacher Award.

Dr. Engel has written ten books published in England, Japan and the United States and he has lectured throughout the United States and on all the continents. Since 1980, Dr. Engel has been President of the Dickens Fellowship of North Carolina.  The sales of Dr. Engel’s books, CDs and DVDs have raised funds for The Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital which Dickens helped found in London in 1852.

Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling 405-826-9689.  Students are admitted free of charge.
