Foster Care Forum

None
9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Thursday April 25

A Forum by definition is “a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged” which is precisely our purpose and plan.

We are inviting you to bring your brightest thoughts, highest ideals, wildest notions, greatest passions, deepest convictions, and softest emotions to table. We aren’t looking for passive onlookers or distant skeptics.

We want to join you in “the arena” as together we defend and spend ourselves on behalf of children in distress. The issues surrounding and root causes associated with Foster Care remain among the most pressing and strategic fronts to be engaged. The Foster Care issue demands and the children who make up the issue undoubtedly deserve our very best. And we intend to give to them.

We believe that ideas are powerful and “worth spreading”, that stories change the world, and a spoken word can turn a person loose and set communities free. We agree that “what has been done can be undone”, and that the whole Foster Care issue is loaded with redemptive potential for all.

Not just the abused, neglected, or abandoned; but also the one who abuses, neglects, and abandons. We contend that children can be rescued and that entire families can be restored. Generational cycles can and will end.

Destinies forever altered. Lives saved. This is bigger than government, or child welfare, the social sector, human empathy, or the desire to do good. This is a movement in the making, and we’d like for you to take part.

It’s not gonna be the same without you.
