Contest is open to teens, grades 7th -12th, who are residents of Oklahoma.
Films entered should tell a story (feature film, animation, etc.) or express a point of view (documentary); book trailers and music videos of original music are also encouraged.
Films must be original creations directed, filmed & edited by teens, grades 7-12 (actors may be of any age). Film can be between 2 -10 minutes long and must be edited before being submitted.
You can upload your film to Youtube or Vimeo if you have an account (please include the address on entry form).  If you don’t have a youtube or vimeo account then your films should be submitted on DVD or a USB flash drive.  DVDs must be formatted for Region 1 (North America) and labeled with the film's title, running time, director(s) name(s) and credits. Films on DVD must play in a standard DVD player.  Films on USB drives must play on the Library Windows computers.
The Metropolitan Library System name or logo must be included verbally or visually in film entries (please do not just tack the name or logo on the beginning or end of your film, be creative!).
Filmmakers must follow copyright regulations (no use of copyrighted material – including music – unless proof of written permission has been obtained).
Films may be on any topic, but language & subject matter must be “G”, “PG” or “PG-13” or will be disqualified.  Films will be previewed for content.
Each entry submitted must be accompanied by a completed entry form.
Participants may submit up to two (2) projects for consideration, but only one(1) project per dvd.  All films remain the property of their creators.
