This year’s Tee Party will be held in conjunction with Mobilizing Matter: an interaction of sculpture and painting, a student-curated exhibition of works by two School of Art & Art History students, Sarah Capshaw and Rani Cozad, and recent BFA graduate, Anna Thomas. The opening reception for Mobilizing Matter will be held in the Lightwell Gallery on the second floor of the OU School of Art & Art History and will run from 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22nd.
Event-goers can look forward to an array of colorful, contemporary, and interactive artwork from Mobilizing Matter as well free printmaking demonstrations and a chance to bring home a piece of original artwork by an OU School of Art & Art History student or faculty member at the Fifth Annual Tee Party. Remember to bring a blank t-shirt, pillowcase, apron, or tote bag to be printed. The OU Print Club will also have a variety of blank t-shirts available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Print Club in their efforts to attend the annual Southern Graphics Council Conference in the spring and to bring in visiting artists.
This a free, come-and-go event that is open to the public so feel free to bring your friends and family to support our students and enjoy the first event of the School of Art & Art History’s 2013-14 school year.
