Devon\'s Saturdays with Santa
10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday December 14
Each weekend, children can enter Santa’s Workshop to create a variety of holiday crafts, send letters to the North Pole, enjoy live holiday music and take a ride on Devon’s Polar Express (weather permitting). Mrs. Claus will also be on hand to read classic holiday stories. Aravalli, Devon’s coffee shop and café, will feature a special holiday menu each Saturday.
Visitors will enjoy a more efficient visit to Santa this year by registering to see him upon their arrival at Devon Energy Center. The registration system will allow visitors to check in and receive a text message when it is their turn to get in line to see Santa. They can then participate in other activities while they wait in a virtual line. Families should bring their own camera to take free photos with Santa andmust sign up by 3 p.m. on site to ensure their child has an opportunity to meet him.
Free Public Parking
Free public parking will be provided by Devon for the event through the visitor’s entrance on the northeast side of the company’s parking garage, located at the intersection of Harvey and Park Avenues on the north side of Devon Energy Center.
Each week features a different theme and activities
- Nov. 30: Gingerbread Village
Take your photo on the porch of a life-sized Gingerbread house, meet the Gingerbread Man and Sugar Plum Fairy, make your own Gingerbread Man craft and purchase gingerbread cookies at Aravalli.
- Dec. 7: Whoville
The Grinch, Cindy Lou Who and the Mayor of Whoville are all scheduled to stop by as Devon Energy Center transforms into Whoville. Children can create their own Grinch craft and take pictures with Max the Dog’s likeness. Come dressed as a Who to really join the fun!
- Dec. 14: The North Pole
Dasher and Dancer, two of Santa’s live reindeer, will make a special appearance on Devon’s south lawn. Did you know they will fly more than 3,000 miles to get here? Guests may also create reindeer crafts in Santa’s Workshop.
- Dec. 21: The Polar Express
All aboard! While guests can ride Devon’s Polar Express every Saturday (weather permitting), children can come dressed in their pajamas to get their golden ticket from train conductors and create a train craft in Santa’s Workshop.
Guests can help deployed soldiers at event
This year, Devon has partnered with The HUGS Project, a national nonprofit based in Oklahoma City, to provide guests with an opportunity to help deployed soldiers during the event. The organization will have a station available for guests to help pack toiletry items that will be included in care packages. Please do not bring donated items, as all materials will be provided by Devon. Guests can assemble the care kits, write a letter to a soldier or decorate mailing boxes. Visitors may also request a care package be sent to a loved one who is currently deployed.
In addition, guests are encouraged to tag their event photos #SaturdayswithSanta on Instagram or share them on Devon’s Saturdays with Santa Facebook page. Devon will contribute $25 (up to $25,000) to The HUGS Project for every photo shared.
We hope you enjoy making holiday memories at Devon this season. Stay updated by visiting Devon’s Saturdays with Santa Facebook page! For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
