Black and White

None
Thursday January 16
By limiting themselves almost exclusively to a black and white palette (with only the occasional hint of purposeful color), the artists at In Your Eye Gallery spent a month exploring the visual impact of tonal value: the crucial component of any strong composition. In the process, they created a striking, dramatic body of work ranging from rich, deep blacks to stark, bright whites in a variety of mediums: painting, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and jewelry.
The eleven artists represented in the gallery with eleven distinct styles are: Sue Hale, Theresa Hurt, Michelle Junkin, Andrea Kissinger, Basil Martin, Janice Mathews-Gordon, Dana Powell, Carl Shortt, Jr., Silver, Diana J Smith, and Chad Woolbright.
