Growing and Using Herbs

9:30 a.m., Thursday March 27

Residents who are interested in learning to grow and use herbs around the house should plan on attending this workshop.  The Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE)  seminar will be held Thursday, March 27th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service, 930 N. Portland, OKC, OK.  This workshop will be sponsored by the OHCE organization and is open to interested residents free of charge.

Lori Coats, herb grower and workshop presenter, states “this is a workshop that dispels the mystery and confusion surrounding the world of herbs.”  At this workshop you will enjoy a broad, instructional overview about growing, preserving, cooking, and crafting with a variety of herbs. “You will leave with practical answers concerning which plants to purchase at your local garden center and how to actually use them in your kitchen”, commented Coats.

Plan now to attend this informative workshop that will inspire and motivate you to enjoy using herbs. For more information about the workshop or about the OHCE organization, contact Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service at 713-1125 or visit our website at http://oces.okstate.edu/oklahoma.
