Summer Kids Camps
Sports and Recreation Camps
OCCC Recreation and Fitness offers camps for children ages six to 18 for half-day or whole-day activities. The month of June is packed with basketball, soccer, karate and t-ball, while July is set aside for volleyball, multi-sports, competitive swimming, indoor track and field, flag football, intro to dance techniques and intro to cheer and dance.
Half and all-day Fit Kids Camps promote health, wellness and physical fitness. Campers will be introduced to a variety of group fitness classes and will enjoy swim time in the OCCC pool.
All-day Fit Kids Camp will include a week of swimming, indoor and outdoor games and a variety of field trips including trips to the Oklahoma City Zoo, Earlywine Water Park and Andy Alligator’s Water Park. Students must be 6 to 12 years old to participate.
Children participating in any of the summer sports camps must be in grades first through eighth in the fall of 2014.
College For Kids
OCCC Community Outreach and Education will offer a wide variety of classes this summer at the Family and Community Education (FACE) Center (6500 S. Land Avenue) through the College for Kids program. College for Kids is designed for students entering grades

Additional classes range from community service projects to beginning guitar and piano, calligraphy to DIY art, folk dancing, drawing basic, hand drums from around the world. Humanities, social sciences, computer applications, math, weather, the study of reptiles and outer space are more extraordinary classes being taught this summer at OCCC.
All classes are taught on the appropriate grade level for each child and promise to be fun and engaging.
Counselors in Training
Teens, ages 13-17, can now volunteer to work during summer sports camps at OCCC. Counselors in Training is a new program for teens to volunteer while earning community service hours.
Each student must attend mandatory trainings that cover topics including character development, leadership skills, team building, supervision of children and basic first aid. After successfully completing training, students will be scheduled to volunteer in one of four summer camp programs.
All enrollments, for sports camps and College for Kids classes, are due by 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the Monday start date of that class.
