DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p>UCO TO OFFER AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION’S ‘FREEDOM FROM SMOKING’ PROGRAM</p>
<p>For those who resolved to quit smoking in the new year, the 
University of Central Oklahoma will offer some assistance through the 
American Lung Association’s “Freedom from Smoking” program, an 
eight-session educational program developed to help smokers quit 
smoking, starting Jan. 23 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Wellness Center, 
Room 104.</p>

<p>The sessions will be facilitated by Susan Adair, certified American 
Lung Association “Freedom from Smoking” facilitator, and will be held 
each Wednesday at noon until the session has been completed.</p>
<p>To aid in the quitting process, participants will receive educational
 tools and support, a program resource book and a 12-week supply of 
nicotine gum.</p>
<p>The program is sponsored by Central’s Healthy Campus Initiative, in partnership with Mercy Clinic at UCO.</p>
<p>The program is open to the public and costs $10. Participants must register for the course by Jan. 14 and space is limited.</p>
