Cocktails, part deux

Tip back a few for the kids

Apparently it’s all cocktails, all the time over here, because I just learned about another great cocktail-heavy event tonight. Let me just say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this.

From 6-8 p.m., Cafe do Brasil and Byron’s Liquor Warehouse will band together (deliciously) for the Cocktails & Calypso fundraiser to benefit Positive Tomorrows. The fundraiser, held at the colorful Cafe do Brasil, will feature a cocktail, beer and wine tasting; Brazilian-style appetizers; a silent auction; and calypso music.

Tickets are $35 and can be bought at the door. Positive Tomorrows, the beneficiary, is a nonprofit elementary school that caters to the unique needs of homeless children and families. See? We’re drinking because we care about the children.

Dim the lights, uncork the Champagne and cue the violins: Valentine’s Day is Tuesday. For many lovebirds, the evening wouldn’t be complete without a romantic repast together.
