Heart art

A V-Day fundraiser combines food and art

This Monday (yes, that’d be Valentine’s Day), OU’s School of Art & Art History is hosting “Art from the Heart,” a fundraiser luncheon. The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Norman’s Lightwell Gallery inside the Fred Jones Art Center.

For $15, guests will get all-you-can-eat soup and sammies, and one piece of original art created by the school’s students and faculty. Or, for procrastinators, it’s $15 for lunch and a last-minute V-Day gift for your none-the-wiser partner. You win!

The art available includes ceramics, sculptures, paintings, prints and photography. Plus, there will be a raffle for a bouquet of flowers from local florist Design 2000. You win again!

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to scholarships for the Art & Art History students. And for you stingy, non-art types, a luncheon without art is $10.
