Yet another French thriller arrives perfectly on-target.

Not since 2006’s “Tell No One” has a foreign-born thriller overtaken my pulse as handily as Fred Cavayé’s “Point Blank.” Both hail from France. Neither is a hunk of fromage. In fact, they put American thrillers to shame.

You could try to kill it with a forklift, but why?

XXIV, VXI, XXX, IV, X — hell, it's all Greek Roman to me. All I know for sure is that each and every box set that has been or will be released of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is worth owning. Since the new Volume XXIV falls into that category, it, too, qualifies.

The Fugitive: 20th Anniversary Edition

Still runs like a charm.

Although The Fugitive was a monster hit in the summer of 1993, it seems to have been lost to the ages. It shouldn't. Perhaps Warner Home Video's 20th-anniversary Blu-ray will help see to that. Remember, folks, this movie was up for Best Picture at the Academy Awards — an action film!
