The Apparition

I ain’t ’fraid of no ghosts.

Horror

Rod Lott
Call me crazy, but 3,400 square feet seems like an awfully massive home for a strip-mall veterinarian's assistant and a Geek Squad-esque installer of home-theater systems. The Perks of Being a Wallflower

High school was tough.

Drama

Phil Bacharach
John Hughes, for all the love people heap on his ’80s teen movies, was far too easy on high school. Maybe your high school experience was different than mine — and, if so, congrats. Cockneys vs Zombies

You can't spell 'yuck' without the 'UK.'

Comedy

Rod Lott
I've been unkind to zombie movies of late, so let me hereby take this opportunity to apologize ... because my ire continues with Cockneys vs Zombies. It's like every other third- or fourth-tier zom-com you've seen (or ignored, hopefully). The only twist, if it can be called that, is the addition of thick English accents and senior citizens, neither novel.

Bridging the gap

CFN

One of our state’s most conservative voices (heck, one of the nation’s) has softened his tone. Sen. Jim Inhofe said recently his “attitude” toward his across-the-aisle Senate peers changed as a result of sympathy he received after the death of his son, Perry Inhofe, 52, who died in a plane crash in November.
