The Darkest Hour

It’s not so bright.

Sci-Fi

Rod Lott
Two American entrepreneurs (Speed Racer's Emile Hirsch and The Social Network's Max Minghella) travel to Moscow in the hopes of turning their Globe Trot social network into a $10 million company with one meeting. Instead, they're ripped off by a Russian colleague and, to make matters worse, are at ground zero of an alien invasion. At least they get to meet some babes first.

Zombie it

OKG7 things to do

Gazette staff

We know when and where the zombie invasion will occur: from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Brass Bell Studios, 2500 N.W. 33rd. That’s when Zombies Are People Too goes down — an art show featuring local photographer Anna Lee’s conceptual merging of decomposing corpses with high fashion. Admission is free. Call 361-3481 or visit zombies-are-people-too.com.

In Their Skin

There go the neighborhoods.

Thriller

Rod Lott
I like In Their Skin under its international title, Replicas. Even if that makes Jeremy Power Regimbal’s directorial debut sound too sci-fi, it’s more interesting and apt.

Dark Skies

Close encounters of the suburban kind.

Sci-Fi

Rod Lott
Thanks to examples like The Others and Sinister, moviegoers know that whenever a kids' crayon drawing pops up, it's never a good sign for the protagonists. Add Dark Skies to that list.
