Sheryl Siddiqui’s Commentary (“The post-9/11 Muslim experience,” Sept. 21, Oklahoma Gazette) is certainly helpful in some respects, but it is disingenuous in others.

Rep. Paul Wesselhöft’s letter (“Rep. Paul Wesselhöft questions Islamophobia,” Oct. 5, Gazette) struck me as very ironic. His attempt to defend himself against charges of being Islamophobic and ill-informed demonstrated that he is both.
