As a longtime reader, I realize you have to post letters from both sides of an argument, but when one side is clearly ignorant, why put it in your publication?

In the June 1 edition of the Gazette, Mickey McVay wrote a scathing
letter (“Discouraging words”) implying that the negative names that
liberals use to define conservatives detract from intelligent political
conversation (a letter I rebuked in the June 15 issue with “The gospel
according to a ‘liberal’”).

us that warm air “holds more water vapor than cold air.” Golly gee, now
that would be real news, except that it is a long-known fact that steam
is an excellent way to retain and transport water vapor and heat.

They say people in glass houses should not throw rocks. In his letter “Mistaken environmentalists” (Sept. 14, Gazette), Mickey McVay seems to suggest that those who say that humans might have contributed to climate change are ignorant idiots.
