Hereby submitted: St. Patrick’s Day is far more fun as an adult than as a child.
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until Sunday, but Saturday is when Bricktown celebrates it with a 22nd annual block party! From noon to midnight at Sheridan and Oklahoma avenues, enjoy continuous live music from the likes of Laura Leighe pictured and Super Freak. The parade runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free, whether or not you’re wearing green. Visit bricktownokc.com.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a band that embodies St. Patrick’s Day more than Dropkick Murphys. It makes perfect sense, then, that they would launch a St. Patrick’s Day-themed tour. You can see them with Lucero and Skinny Lister 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Diamond Ballroom, 8001 S. Eastern Ave. Tickets are $23-$28. Call (866)977-6849 or visit protix.com.
