Oklahoma native Pearl Mesta (née Skirvin) was the D.C. socialite of the ’50s — so much so that Irving Berlin based the musical Call Me Madam on her. With five performances scheduled between today and Saturday, Lyric Theatre stages the production on “The Hostess with the Mostes’” at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $33- $74.
