Have a hankerin’ for a block party but the weather got ya down? Worry not! Indoor Urban Park, an immersive interactive playground designed by local artists, will be unveiled at the monthly public block party Premiere on Film Row. Premiere also features live bands and a radio broadcast, film screenings, food trucks and more, and it all happens 6-9 p.m. Friday inside IAO Gallery, 706 W. Sheridan Ave. Admission is free. It’s about gun rights for everyone

Representative Sally Kern is just thinking of the children, especially the right for them to bear, well, things in the shape of arms. In a funny little piece of legislature proposed by her, it would make it illegal for teachers to punish children for having weapons on their minds and indulging in playtime activities such as drawing a gun, using fingers or hands in the shape of a gun or making gun noises.
