I can haz cat show? You can indeed, when the ThunderKatz club presents Cat-A-Palooza, its annual championship and household pet cat show. With 200 felines scheduled to compete, the event skulks into the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds’ Centennial Building, 608 Kiamichi Place, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $5, or free for kids 12 and under. Call 213-5612 or visit thunderkatz.org.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa

Rather than retire, the Jackass franchise flirts with fiction — if not sexually harasses it — in the semi-scripted, wholly hilarious Bad Grandpa.

Riotous as they are, the Jackass movies have not been immune to the law of diminishing returns — in terms of laughs, not box office. That the fourth feature, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, is the funniest since the first, 2002's Jackass: The Movie, is something of an unexpected achievement.

Strange as it sounds, come March 2, one of the films that stands a good chance of walking home with an Academy Award is Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. It’s one of three nominees in the category of makeup, but still, the recognition marks real progress for films that open with a senior citizen getting his junk caught in a vending machine.
