Most of us grow up with art of one sort or another. Rare is the refrigerator not graced with the crayon scrawls of a fearsome crimson or sky-blue beast that is actually just the family cat or dog. Scraps of bad poetry are stuffed under beds and in drawers, and doodles in spiral notebooks get tossed with the biology notes.

As Will Ferrell put it so well in 2005’s Kicking & Screaming, “Now go get me a juice box!” Kids age 11 and under will receive the beloved juice box as part of Wild Tuesdays Story Time Safari, now back every 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at Oklahoma City Zoo, 2101 N.E. 50th, free with park admission. They put the “mock” in “democracy.” They’re The Capitol Steps, the long-running political comedy troupe, and something tells us they’ve got lots to joke about on their current national tour. The sassy satirists will perform 7:30 p.m. Monday at Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Fine Arts Center, 100 Campus Drive in Weatherford. Tickets are $10- $20.
