The Del Toros — Come Down

Rock

Stephen Carradini
Informed equally by ’90s rock and modern pop, Tulsa-based The Del Toros infuse each of the 10 tracks on “Come Down” with a sharp sense of melody and a clear vision. Each of the songs is incredibly friendly to the ear, which is good — you’ll have them with you for a while afterward.

Freak it

OKG7 things to do

Gazette staff
We’re guessing not every release party entails hanging by hooks and lying on broken glass. Of course, not everybody is The Captain’s Sideshow. The local group celebrates its own DVD with a shindig from 9 p.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at Voodoo Lounge, 530 S. Broadway. Special guests include Gunpowder Junkies, Gog and Cutthroat Freak Show. Call 237-2803.
