Update: This event has been postponed due to illness.

Tenor saxophonist Denny Morouse blows into the UCO Jazz Lab, 100 E. Fifth in Edmond, for a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday. The man has been Stevie Wonder’s bandleader, the musical arranger for the Saturday Night Live band, and performed on the soundtracks to Animal House, Fame and Flashdance. In other words, it’s safe to say you’ve heard him. Tickets are $12. Call 359-7989 or visit vinerygroup.com.

Grammy-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one cool MF. To support its current album, Four MFs Playin’ Tunes, his quartet appears Thursday on the stage of Armstrong Auditorium, 14400 S. Bryant in Edmond. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the MFs (sorry, we love that) will play a mix of jazz classics and original compositions. Tickets are $42-$94. Call 285-1010 or visit armstrongauditorium.org.
