Vile

Not for the weak — duh.

Horror

Rod Lott
With Vile, we may have a new cinematic achievement: the first torture-porn film to open with a quote from Gandhi. Take that with a grain of salt — or perhaps the box of kosher salt poured into the wounds of some sad bastard by some demented madman in the prologue.

OKG7 things to do

Gazette staff
Mickey Reece’s locally shot sci-fi sports drama, Walrus, screens Tuesday night at The Paramount, 701 W. Sheridan. That’s directly following Reece’s participation in the Oklahoma Writers Forum at 6 p.m., across the street at Individual Artists of Oklahoma Gallery, 706 W. Sheridan, where local playwrights and filmmakers will talk writing for the stage and screen. Admission to both is free. Call 517-0787 or 232-6060, respectively, or visit theparamountokc.com or iaogallery.org.
