You know it’s a bad day as a public body when you ask if there are any attorneys who want to speak and the standing-room-only audience erupts in a lawyerly chorus of, “Yes! I do!” That’s what happened at the Oklahoma City Zoo Trust’s June 20 meeting, as it considered whether to give the contract for operation of the Zoo Amphitheatre to a new company.

Oklahoma City officials have decided not to pursue legal action against the former manager of the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre to obtain rights to the venue’s website, a city spokesperson confirmed today.

As feared, the Zoo Amphitheatre does not have a Summer/Fall lineup as of June 12. In past years, under the Zoo Amp’s previous management, I already could have planned what concerts I would attend over the next four to five months at the Zoo. Now the people of OKC have nothing?
